My name is Rodger Gaff, owner of Gaff Air. I’m not ashamed to admit that air conditioning is my life. It’s not a life of glamour but air conditioning systems and installing them correctly has become a passion.
So you know who you’re dealing with I thought I would begin by telling you a little about my story. I was born in Bourke NSW and grew up in the country town of Brewarrina in NSW. After 3 generations in the transport industry my father was determined that I not follow in his footsteps.
My Journey and the idea of Gaff Air and owning my own business started way back in the 80’s. When I began working in the refrigeration and air conditioning service industry. This is where I learnt my profession. I attended TAFE courses for supervision and management and post trade courses in the air conditioning industry for controls. The only thing I felt I hadn’t done was to start my own air conditioning business. With life savings of $5,000 I invested in a Holden Ute for $1000 and the rest was spent on tools and Gaff Air Pty Ltd was born!
Since its inception Gaff Air has won many awards including Fujitsu Sales Awards received in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. This was for outstanding sales in regional NSW/ACT.
We are also members of HIA, Australian Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA), and Australian Refrigeration Association (ARA). Both Sarah my wife and myself are members of the Rural Fire Service and the local Aero Club. Giving back to the community is an important part of Gaff Air as a business and for us personally. We believe having strong community ties is a reflection of who we are as people and as a business. Gaff Air strives to give back to NSW communities as they have given us the chance to grow into a strong and successful business.
I hope we can work together to help you stay cool in summer and cosy in the winter, whether that is for your new home, current home, commercial or retail space. We will help take the stress away and make the whole process enjoyable. You will get a system tailored to your individual needs.
